Education:Ms. Catlett was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended public schools there. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with BSBA (finance and real estate 1974) and JD (1977) degrees. She has served on the Little Rock City Board of Directors, the Little Rock Municipal Water Works Board of Commissioners, Legal Advisor to Presidential Commission on Executive, Legislative & Judicial Salaries, Lyon College Board of Trustees, Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Arts Center, Board of Directors of United Way of Pulaski County and many other community boards.
Relevant Experience:Meredith Catlett has focused her practice in corporate, commercial, real estate and banking law since 1977. She was a Partner at Friday, Eldredge & Clark where she negotiated, drafted and reviewed documentation for varied business and real estate transactions. Her clients have included large and small real estate developers; local, national and international banks and other financial institutions; and governmental entities.
Ms. Catlett was Director of Quality Products International, Inc. from 1997-2003. With offices in Little Rock, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, QPI imported food products from 30 countries for distribution and sale to hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets throughout the Federation of Russia. Ms. Catlett was responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts with major foreign and domestic food producing companies including Tyson Foods, Sara Lee, Anheuser Busch, Unilever and Nestle. She negotiated, drafted and reviewed contracts with financial institutions including domestic and foreign banks and the Import Export Bank of the United States.
Ms. Catlett was General Counsel for the City of Maumelle Public Facilities Board and General Counsel for the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission. Ms. Catlett is currently of Counsel with Catlett Law Firm, PLC and serves as a Commissioner on the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission.
